We're back with another running recap. And this week has been really satisfying! We completed our three running sessions and all our walking sessions. And honestly, I feel better, I feel fitter since we started this new routine.
We started the week with a free run on Monday: I ran 4.1 km without stopping. The usual route, the loop that includes the long straight stretch through the forest and the winding road.
I ran at an even faster pace than usual: 7:20/km. That's my record.
There were no difficulties during this session.
Then, I continued the running week on Wednesday. It was interval training!
This time, we ran for 10 minutes, until we reached the street where we do our sprints. Next, we did 6 sets of [30 seconds of sprinting, 30 seconds of jogging]. The 6th repetition was tough, but I managed it.
As we continue with interval training, we'll increase the number of repetitions.
Then we ran home. In total, it was a little over 5 km, which isn't bad!
And to finish off the week's running sessions, we went for a run on Friday. It was our long run. I managed to run 5 km, but I stopped for 30 seconds. At the time, I was a little disappointed in myself, but when I think about it, 30 seconds of walking out of 5 km isn't a huge deal.
Besides, my goal was to run 5 km in 40 or 45 minutes in September. And I managed to run 5 km in 38 minutes. So, that's really good!
I think that by training regularlyâbetween two and three runs per week between now and SeptemberâI might be able to reduce my time and reach 35 minutes for 5 km.
Of course, between each run, we don't forget our daily walk: between two and four kilometers.
In short, another good, busy week! I'm quite proud of myself.

On a commencĂ© la semaine par une sĂ©ance de course libre lundi : jâai couru 4,1 km sans mâarrĂȘter. Le tour habituel, la boucle qui passe par la longue ligne droite en forĂȘt et la route sinueuse.

Je pense quâen s'entraĂźnant encore rĂ©guliĂšrement : entre 2 et 3 sĂ©ances de course par semaine dâici septembre, je pourrais peut-ĂȘtre rĂ©duire mon temps et atteindre les 35 minutes pour 5 km.
Ăvidemment, entre chaque sĂ©ance de course, nous nâoublions pas dâaller faire notre marche quotidienne : entre 2 et 4 kilomĂštres.
Bref, encore une bonne semaine, bien remplie ! Je suis assez fiĂšre de moi.
