Whenever I look at this particular Pigeon photo, it brings back such wonderful memories of visiting the beautiful Greek Island of Rhodes. The island has everything you could want from any Holiday. Amazing restaurants, a magnificent old Castle that you can easily visit. In addition, there are numerous fascinating shops on both sides of the many narrow pedestrianised streets.
The Island attracts visitors from all over the World. The locals are both friendly and helpful to all Tourists. Definitely the Pigeon (below) was the "star of the tour" as seen by many other visitors around the town centre. A most entertaining bird indeed π
This highly amusing Nature Photo below was shot on a one day excursion visit to Rhodes, Greece, while being a passenger of the "Ocean Village" Cruise Liner back in 2010. As we were strolling through the Old Town of Rhodes, we noticed some birds flying around an unusual water fountain.
After watching and waiting for a while a single pigeon eventually came down to drink. This clever bird had learnt the entertaining art of drinking water from the brass pipe upside down. Very funny to watch indeed π
Later, there were more that came to drink in exactly the same way, maybe they had all learned this trick from each other.
I hope this Wildlife photo from one my many funny Travel experiences makes you smile π
