Clouds and sun on the harbor - watercolor on paper

Hello all dear friends Hivers and welcome back to my blog. Today I am sharing a watercolor seascape that was commissioned by a client. It is about the ancient Roman harbor on the island of Ponza, of which I was inspired by the photograph that my client really liked.

Compared to the original photo, I had to enlarge the viewpoint of the harbor and had a lot of fun imagining the sky rich in color and light.

I represented a myriad of boats inside the harbor reflecting the white light from the sky.

Nuvole e sole sul porto - acquarello su carta

Ciao a tutti cari amici Hivers e ben tornati sul mio blog. Oggi condivido un paesaggio marino ad acquarello che mi è stato commissionato da un cliente. Si tratta dell'antico porto romano dell'isola di Ponza, del quale ho preso spunto dalla fotografia che è piaciuta molto al mio committente.

Rispetto alla foto originale ho dovuto allargare il punto di vista del porto e mi sono molto divertito ad immaginare il cielo ricco di colori e luce.

Ho rappresentato una miriade di barche all'interno del porto che riflettono la luce bianca del cielo.
