Decorating a lamp with oil and acrylic
I found this lamp at a flea market and came up with the idea of decorating it with a subject I love very much, an embrace with a kiss of which Klimt is the most famous performer.
The lamp originally looked very plain with two floral cotton tufts that I didn't like so I started the decoration to disguise them.
I decided to decorate the lamp with a few colours and Art Nouveau lines, lightly highlighting the shapes of the two figures with stems and floral motifs.
Here is the final result in natural light and in the dark with the light bulb on.

Decorando una lampada ad olio e acrilico
Ho trovato questa lampada ad un mercatino dell'usato e mi è venuta l'idea di poterla decorare con un soggetto che amo molto, un abbraccio con un bacio di cui Klimt è il più famoso esecutore. La lampada in origine mostrava molto semplice e con due ciuffi floreali di cotone che non mi piacevano e così ho iniziato la decorazione per mascherarli. Ho deciso di decorare la lampada con pochi colori e con linee stile Liberty evidenziando con leggerezza le forme delle due figure con steli e motivi floreali. Ecco il risultato finale alla luce naturale e al buio con la lampadina accesa.
