Grounding and global shipwreck - watercolor on paper

Hard to say where we went wrong, we only know that we are wrecking miserably on terrain polluted by our presumption and arrogance. I have represented my idea of an ark shipwreck, in a space where wars and rocks, disintegrate dreams of equality for all peoples of the earth.

I felt the need to paint a surreal scene, with a boat in the center stranded on rocks that radiate out among remnants of ancient civilizations.

Incaglio e naufragio globale - acquarello su carta

Difficile dire dove abbiamo sbagliato, sappiamo soltanto che stiamo naufragando miseramente su terreni inquinati dalla nostra presunzione e prepotenza. Ho rappresentato la mia idea di un naufragio dell'arca, in uno spazio dove guerre e rocce, disintegrano i sogni di uguaglianza per tutti i popoli della terra.

Ho sentito l'esigenza di dipingere una scena surreale, con una barca al centro incagliata su rocce che si allargano a raggiera tra resti di antiche civiltà.

Un abbraccio natalizio, per quello che può ancora significare. (sotto gli steps)
