History Corner - watercolours on paper

Hello everyone Hivers and welcome back to my blog. Today I return to share a watercolour painting whose subject matter was commissioned from me by the owner of the grocery shop in the old town where I live.

As you can see, it is a corner full of ancient details, such as an arch from the 1200s and walls from the Roman period.

I tried to represent it in the best possible way, emphasising the stones, the façade and giving a lot of colour with pots of flowering plants.

I accurately depicted the paving from the 3rd century BC, the famous Appian Way.

Finally with the usual violet colour I painted the shadows to give a more plastic effect to the scene.

Angolo di storia - acquarelli su carta

Ciao a tutti cari amici Hivers e bentornati sul mio blog. Oggi torno a condividere un dipinto ad acquarello il cui soggetto mi è stato commissionato dalla proprietaria del negozio di alimentari del centro storico dove vivo. Come potete vedere si tratta di un angolo ricco di particolari antichi, come un arco del 1200 e mura del periodo romano. Ho cercato di rappresentarlo nel miglior modo possibile, enfatizzando le pietre, la facciata e dando molto colore con dei vasi di piante fiorite. Ho rappresentato accuratamente la pavimentazione del 3° secolo a. C. la famosa via Appia. Infine con il solito colore viola ho dipinto le ombre per dareun effetto più plastico alla scena.
