Melancholy of a street - watercolours on paper

Hello everyone Hivers and welcome back to my blog. Today I present to you my latest watercolour landscape, I tried to paint a melancholic dream where a mother and child walk along a road among ancient archaeological remains.

I depicted a leaden sky with a glimpse of light in the middle.

I painted an old wall with a round arch revealing the continuation of the landscape with cypress trees.

I painted ancient remains along the road with dry leaves, symbolising the coming winter, and a female figure in a pale red dress.

The bare trees with few leaves remind us of the passing of the seasons.

Malinconia di una strada - acquarelli su carta

Ciao a tutti cari amici Hivers e bentornati sul mio blog. Oggi vi presento il mio ultimo paesaggio ad acquarello, Ho cercato di dipingere un soggeto malinconico dove una mamma ed un bambino percorrono una strada tra antichi resti archeologici. Ho raffigurato un cielo plumbeo con uno squarcio di luce al centro. Ho dipinto un vecchio muro con un arco a tutto sesto che lascia intravedere la prosecuzione del paesaggio con dei cipressi.
Ho dipinto degli antichi resti lungo la strada con delle foglie secche, simbolo dell'inverno in arrivo ed una figura femminile con un vestito rosso pallido. Gli alberi spogli con poche foglie ci ricordano il trascorrere delle stagioni. Spero vi piaccia, e vi mando i miei migliori saluti, Armando.
