Night in the street - watercolor on paper

Hello everyone dear Hivers friends and welcome back to my blog. Today's post is a watercolor painting depicting a street at night. I started with splashes of color which I then delimited with pencil lines.

As used in the watercolor technique, I first painted the light and bright areas of the scene.

I used very contrasting colors like acid yellow and purple to highlight the houses in perspective and the lights.

Finally, with Payne's gray I gave the shadows and inserted some figures to give life and movement to the urban scene.

Notturno in strada - acquarello su carta

Ciao a tutti cari amici Hivers e ben tornati sul mio blog. Il post di oggi è un dipinto ad acquarello che raffigura una strada in notturna. Sono partito da macchie di colore che ho poi delimitato con linee di matita.

Come si usa nella tecnica dell'acquarello ho dipinto prima le zone chiare e luminose della scena.

Ho usato colori molto contrastanti come il giallo acido e il viola per evidenziare le case in prospettiva e le luci.

Infine con il grigio di Payne ho dato le ombre e inserito alcune figure per dare vita e movimento alla scena urbana.
