The persistence of man - watercolors on paper
Persistence is a prolonged continuity over time whose hostility we feel, and so let us imagine what Nature may feel toward the wild urbanization of the planet. Meaningless buildings and skyscrapers without a master plan that devastate prime natural environments, where the suffering of trees turns to blood. We live in places where the redundancy of infrastructure is as aggressive as the plague, and I have tried to depict a subject where surrealism binds with the realism of our time.
Suffering blood-colored trees, churning like damned souls who find no peace, they are assaulted by immanent and useless skyscrapers, often uninhabited.
A redundant embrace of passion.

La persistenza dell'uomo - acquarello su carta
La persistenza è una continuità prolungata nel tempo di cui sentiamo l'ostilità, ed allora immaginiamo cosa può sentire la Natura verso l'urbanizzazione selvaggia del pianeta. Palazzi e grattacieli senza senso e senza un piano regolatore che devastano ambienti naturali di primordine, dove la sofferenza degli alberi si trasforma in sangue. Viviamo in posti dove la ridondanza delle infrastrutture è aggressiva come la peste, ed io ho cercato di raffigurare un soggetto dove il surrealismo si lega al realismo del nostro tempo. Alberi sofferenti color sangue, che si agitano come anime dannate che non trovano pace, essi sono aggrediti da grattacieli immanenti ed inutili, spesso disabitati.
Un abbraccio ridondante di passione.
