I Have Always Loved Exploring And That One Morning Was So Cool
I have been all over the place since I was a kid. Seriously i could never sit still. If there was a path i had not taken i had go check it out. If there was a hill I had not climbed yet i had make my way up there. Weekdays were for school and helping out at home but weekends? That’s when
i had grab my stuff and head out sometimes with friends sometimes alone.
I just loved seeing new things. Once we camped near this tiny hut with a straw roof. You could hear every bug and frog in the place once it got dark. I was beat from walking all day so i crashed early and woke up super early without even needing a clock. My body just knew it was time to get up.
I stumbled out in my old jeans and a t-shirt that’s seen better days, grabbed my favorite mug and some coffee from my bag and walked out to the big field where we were gonna make breakfast. I thought i had just see grass some trees and mountains far off like usual. But when i got out there wow.
The whole field was covered in thick fog. It looked so wild like something from a movie! Everything was quiet except for the mist moving through the trees. The tree trunks stuck up out of the white fog like big shadows and every now and then the fog would move a little so you could see something new like a fence or some flowers.
I just stood there holding my mug totally forgetting i was supposed to be making coffee. Then i heard some noise like things moving around in the grass. I looked over and there were goats! A whole bunch of them walking across the field slow and easy like they owned the place.
There was a big white one with black spots leading them and a couple brown ones behind. And get this some chickens were following too running between the goats legs and pecking at the ground like they had work to do. I finally got my head straight and started a fire to make coffee.
By the time the water was hot the sun was coming up over the mountains and the fog was starting to go away. You could see the golden fields and green hills again. The goats kept walking, the chickens kept pecking, and I sat on a big piece of wood, blowing on my coffee.
I was just watching everything. That’s what i love about going out exploring you can plan all you want but the best stuff is always the stuff you don’t expect. You can look at all the maps you want but you will never know when you wil walk out and find the whole place covered in fog with goats and chickens just hanging out. That’s why i keep going out there you never know what you will find next.
