I recently wrote about my adventures at a local suspension bridge and nature park in North Vancouver. It's a popular tourist destination and for good reason. Besides the death-defying height and length of the bridge itself, there's a series of raised trails where visitors can explore the arboreal wonderland above the ground.
Stairs to raised trails
The network of trails consists of narrow wooden bridges suspended from the trees.
Look up!
Visitors can explore the ecology of this mountainous and forested terrain.

While it can be slightly challenging to walk up on some of the swaying bridges, the facilities are fairly accessible for people that may not be fully mobile, as you can see from the flat wooden trails.
With the help of various succinct signs along the way that contain information about the area and even nuggets of wisdom, the hike becomes a learning experience.
This is an unusual way to explore nature, and there's a little bit of swaying involved, but it's a great way to get in tune with the natural world when you need a break or wish to explore natural wonders without worrying about fighting grizzly bears.

Fortunately, the tickets for local residents also acts as a season pass for a year, so one can visit anytime in that period. I just realized that I took other photos from up on the trees, but I will have to come back with a second part to do them proper justice. Thank you for visiting.
