Trekking from Crissolo to the summit of Viso Mozzo, passing by the Quintino Sella Refuge – Po Valley (CN), Summer 2025
In this video, I take you on a hike in the beautiful Po Valley, at the basement of Monviso.
A classic and spectacular hike in the Cottian Alps: the climb to the Quintino Sella Refuge and Viso Mozzo, starting from Crissolo (Cuneo), offers extraordinary views of Monviso and the upper Po Valley.
The route begins in Crissolo village (1,300 m), specifically from the trail that begins behind the chairlift. From there, you ascend along the well-marked trail that leads to the Quintino Sella Refuge (2,600 m), crossing pastures and alpine lakes. After a short stop at the refuge, you continue towards the summit of Viso Mozzo (3,010 m), which offers breathtaking views of Monviso, clouds aside.

In questo video vi porto con me in un’escursione nella splendida Valle Po, ai piedi del Monviso.
Un’escursione classica e spettacolare nelle Alpi Cozie: la salita al Rifugio Quintino Sella e al Viso Mozzo, partendo da Crissolo (CN), offre panorami straordinari sul Monviso e sull’alta valle Po.
L’itinerario inizia da Crissolo paese (1300 m), precisamente dal sentiero che inizia dietro la seggiovia. Da qui si sale lungo il sentiero ben segnalato che conduce al Rifugio Quintino Sella (2600 m), attraversando pascoli e laghetti alpini. Dopo una breve sosta al rifugio, si prosegue verso la vetta del Viso Mozzo (3010 m), che regala una vista mozzafiato sul Monviso, nuvole a parte.
12 Km in circa 6 ore, dislivello totale di circa 1700 m
