Hello everybody, this is a total experiment that I did for tonight's drawing. I wanted to do a portrait, I was going to start to do it the "usual" way, but I changed direction while drawing it. It was fun and I did not expect the end result, I personally think it looks cool (but that s all a question of perception). Either way, the point of tonight's drawing was truly to practice, but it seem I will end up doing a post with it after all.
I did all sort of things, pencil, watercolors, smudging, fingertipping, it almost felt more ie sculpting than drawing (or painting). I guess I was motivated to practice those portraits while finding new ways to do it. I did find a couple of ways that seems to work well for me, but I seem to often just go and try something else, I like the variety (this way it seems feeling less like work, more like exploring...even if I do not work in that field)
