It is inspired by a mythological creature called The Alicanto, who lives in Atacama Chile.
I made it for a contest, I didn't win but I loved the result.

Está inspirado en una criatura mitológica llamada El Alicanto, que vive en Atacama Chile.
La hice para un concurso, no gané pero me encantó el resultado.

** ----------------------------------------------------------- The Tale ---------------------------------------------------------------**
The legend says that the Alicanto is a large bird 🐤 that lives among the hills of the Atacama Desert and feeds on gold and silver. Its beauty is magical; it has gold-coloured wings that glow at night with beautiful metallic colours, a head as delicate as a swan’s and eyes that fire strange glares. Its flight is luminous and its body does not cast shadows on the ground. However, when the Alicanto has a full stomach, it cannot fly due to the weight of the metal. When this happens, since it knows that it is very coveted by hunters, it hides without leaving a trace, and only comes out at nightfall. Miners dream they will someday see it so it can guide them towards a vein of gold or silver. Yet, they must be very careful, because if the bird perceives excessive ambition it drags its follower to a cliff edge.

La leyenda dice que el Alicanto es un ave 🐤 de gran tamaño que vive entre los cerros del desierto de Atacama y se alimenta de oro y plata. Su belleza es mágica; tiene alas doradas que brillan por la noche con hermosos colores metálicos, una cabeza tan delicada como la de un cisne y ojos que disparan extrañas miradas. Su vuelo es luminoso y su cuerpo no proyecta sombras en el suelo. Sin embargo, cuando el Alicanto tiene el estómago lleno, no puede volar debido al peso del metal. Cuando esto sucede, como sabe que es muy codiciado por los cazadores, se esconde sin dejar rastro, y solo sale al anochecer. Los mineros sueñan que algún día lo verán para que pueda guiarlos hacia una veta de oro o plata. Sin embargo, deben tener mucho cuidado, porque si el pájaro percibe una ambición excesiva arrastra a su seguidor al borde del acantilado.
