📟 Time to come back

I really neglected my passion for amateur radio. So much so that I haven't turned on the radio for probably over half a year, it's unused, dusty... A lot has happened during this time, there was little time. The long and dark autumn evenings have arrived for good. I decided it was probably time to play radio amateur. Of course, with all relevant permissions and licenses up to date, everything will be legal :)

Bardzo zaniedbałem swoją pasję związaną z krótkofalarstwem. Do tego stopnia, że nie włączałem radia chyba przez ponad pół roku, stoi nieużywane, zakurzone... Przez ten czas wiele się działo, było mało czasu. Jesienne, długie i ciemne wieczory zawitały na dobre. Stwierdziłem, że chyba czas najwyższy się pobawić w radioamatora. Oczywiście mając aktualne wszystkie uprawnienia i licencje z tym związane, wszystko będzie na legalu :)

📟 Problem with antennas

I have antennas around the house, but they are out of order. I haven't taken care of them for two years and they need maintenance. My antennas are nothing professional, they are amateur home-made constructions. I can quickly explain that these are dozens of meters of cables suspended in treetops, attached to fences, hanging loosely from trees or buried in the ground. I didn't take care of them for a long time, a strong wind ripped them off and they need repairs.

Mam anteny dookoła domu, ale są niesprawne. Nie dbałem o nie przez dwa lata i wymagają konserwacji. Moje anteny to nic profesjonalnego, są to amatorskie konstrukcje domowej roboty. Na szybko mogę wytłumaczyć, że są to dziesiątki metrów rozwieszonych kabli w koronach drzew oraz mocowane do płotu lub luźno zwisające z drzew albo zakopane w ziemi. Nie zajmowałem się nimi przez długi czas, silny wiatr je pozrywał, wymagają naprawy.

📟 I made myself a gift

To make my work in repairing antennas easier, I invested in an antenna analyzer some time ago. Santa Claus is coming, so I can unwrap my gift :) This is a device that has many functions, I find it most useful for checking SWR (standing wave ratio).

Żeby ułatwić sobie pracę w naprawie anten zainwestowałem już jakiś czas temu w analizator antenowy. Zbliża się mikołaj, więc mogę rozpakować swój prezent :) Jest to urządzenie, które ma bardzo dużo funkcji, mi się najbardziej przyda do sprawdzenia SWR (współczynnik fali stojącej).

📟 How to tune an antenna for amateur radio?

This is a very complex process, it depends on the type of antenna, the location of the antenna, the frequency at which the best efficiency is to be achieved, the type of radio and much much more :)
The point is (in short) that the SWR value is as low as possible, then the antenna works with much better efficiency, and above all, the radio has optimal performance and does not cause fatigue when transmitting. When tuning such antennas, its directions change in relation to various things nearby (distance from the house, tree), its length shortens or lengthens, and many other factors affect the tuning of the antenna.

Jest to bardzo złożony proces, zależy od rodzaju anteny, umiejscowienia anteny, częstotliwości na jaką ma być najlepsza sprawność, od rodzaju radia i dużo dużo więcej :)
Chodzi o to (w skrócie mówiąc), żeby wartość SWR była jak najniższa, wtedy antena pracuje z dużo lepszą sprawnością, a przede wszystkim radio ma optymalną wydajnością, nie męczy podczas nadawania. Przy strojeniu takich anten, zmienia się jej kierunki względem różnych rzeczy w pobliżu (odległość od domu, drzewa), skraca lub wydłuża się jej długość, oraz dużo jeszcze innych czynników ma wpływ na dostrojenie anteny.

I will want to create a series of articles related to my hobby, which is amateur radio. I once wrote an article about it, but now I would like to show what it's all about, who I connect with, how I talk, where I can be heard, what I can hear, how space, space stations can be heard and much much more. I hope that I will not get bored with writing about amateur radio and that you will learn a lot of interesting information.

Będę chciał stworzyć serię artykułów związanych z moim hobby którym jest krótkofalarstwo. Kiedyś napisałem o tym jeden artykuł, ale teraz będę chciał pokazać o co w tym wszystkim chodzi, z kim się łączę, jak rozmawiam, gdzie mnie słychać, co ja słyszę, jak słychać kosmos, stacje kosmiczne i dużo dużo więceje.
