"It-Girl"
Oil Pencil and Gouache on Paper, 30cm x 40cm (11⅞" x 15¾")
For today's painting, I tried something different for a change. I painted a very quick and loose portrait of a girl in gouache, based on a photo on unsplash.com by Jefferson Gomes. Then I finished it with a layer of oil pencil to intensify colors and details, staying fast, loose, and "painterly". All told, I like to think it turned out O.K., considering that it was never meant to be a masterpiece but just a bit of fun. What do you think?
Für mein heutige Bild habe ich mal etwas anderes ausprobiert. Ich habe ein sehr schnelles und lockeres Porträt eines Mädchens in Gouache gemalt, basierend auf einem Foto auf unsplash.com von Jefferson Gomes. Dann habe ich es mit einer Schicht Ölstift übermalt, um die Farben und Details zu intensivieren, wobei ich schnell, locker und "malerisch" geblieben bin. Alles in allem finde ich, dass es ganz gut geworden ist, wenn man bedenkt, dass es nie ein Meisterwerk werden sollte, sondern mir einfach Spaß machen sollte. Was meint ihr dazu?
