Wednesday.
The day started off sunny but the afternoon brought clouds and a decent bit of rain.
I met Ronald in the morning to pay my peanut toll. I think he managed to trained me pretty well, to deliver him fresh peanuts almost every day. I enjoy it, though.
I skipped the afternoon walk due to the heavy rain. Instead I finally managed to pick my 's,
's and
's universal blockscanning routine apart. The program tracks HIVE, hive-engine, STEEM and steem-engine blocks for all my lovely little bots but it has been having issues with lagging behind quite frequently due to the legacy support for STEEM and the fact that the whole thing was running in one thread and steem-engine's API in particular sometimes takes ages to deliver block content or time-out, causing all other chain updates to run behind with it.
To stay concurrent all four chains need to get checked within three seconds, which is usually not a problem, unless that one API decides to keep you on hold for 10 seconds. I only support STEEM due to some abandoned CAT tokens left on steem-engine anyways and I'll probably shut that down eventually, but I still picked the whole thing apart to have each Layer1 run on it's own thread from now on and therefore the only thing that actually needs to run smoothly, HIVE, can do so, even if the STEEM data starts stalling.
On my evening walk I met a cute and shy kitty hiding under a car. She sniffed my hand but she didn't agree to an exchange of cuddles.
Thanks for your time!
