Thursday.
This week's heat wave is peaking today. The temperatures peaked at 39° this afternoon. Luckily the weather forecast points at a sharp ten degree drop for tomorrow.
I followed pretty much the same routine as yesterday. Cycled out to the lake for a swim in the early afternoon and then stayed inside until sunset before going on a walk.
Passing the edge of the village, where some roadwork had been going on lately, the entire road was suddenly flooded with flowing water.
Wondering where the water was coming from I quickly noticed a little fountain gurgling from some cracks in the pavement.
I called the fire brigade and they sent some guys out from the municipal water service. They looked quite startled when they arrived.
I didn't wait around to see how they resolved the issue as it was time to help grandma find her way to bed. I'm going to check how things turned out tomorrow.
Thanks for your time!
