My Actifit Report Card: March 6 2020

Here’s my report for yesterday.

I let the new trainee work by himself today as I was preparing the orders ahead of him. He wasn’t working as fast as I do, but that’s to be expected; he just started. That made the afternoon seem to drag on, because I was mostly just waiting for him to do his thing.

After he left, I worked mostly on routering for the handle and lock mechanism on French casement window sashes. The ones I was working on were made of hardwood; they were white oak on the interior and birch on the exterior. When working on these types of woods, the fragrance gets in my clothes and lingers. I stopped at the convenience store on my way home, and the clerk asked me if I did woodwork because he could smell the wood fragrance on me.

When people ask me how I like working where I work, I often say that I used to work in fish processing plants many years ago, and I much prefer going home smelling like lumber than smelling like fish. Hehe!

I did my little chips and beer thing that I usually do on Thursday nights when I get home. I played some Holybread, and watered my plants on Hashkings.
