Okay so finished my first olympic distance triathlon today, a local one.
Was a very nice experience, sunny weather, water was warm and I had some people cheering me on the entire time.
First came the swimming, which is not my strong game. I am to bad a crawl to do it the enitre time, so end up doing a lot of breaststroking.
Finished 1.5km in approx 37min.
Then up and go switch to cycling gear, thought it went fast. But looking in the result list I some were faster than me here.
Cycling felt nice, but warm. Think I already here was starting to feel the coming problems. I had 2 water bottles with me and I drank both.
40km cycling in 1.20min.
The switch from cycling to running went quick, was just a shoe change.
But felt quite early the my legs started to cramp up on me. So had no other choice than to walk uphill and run the rest.
If I wanted to make my dream goal of under 3h I had to do 10km in under 58min, which usually aint a problem for me.
But with legs cramping, its hard.
10km running in 1h 3min
Finish time was 3h and 6 mins! Super happy because that means I have to try again next year ;)
Thanks everyone who were cheering for me here as well!
