Had a chance to go to a Cinco De Mayo Celebration in some park yesterday with my co-worker. The park is called Asukayama Park and it’s just right beside Oji Station. Arrived around 12noon and went ahead to find where the celebration was. It wasn’t as big as I expected unlike those I went to in Yoyogi park. But it was lively nonetheless.
There were food stalls that sell both Mexican and Japanese food. And of course I had to try some. I bought some 2 pulled pork tacos as I don’t think 1 would satisfy me.
I also had a sausage, one behind the barbecue, and a mango banana smoothie. But I forgot to take pictures of it and just gobbled up 😆. But let me just share the stalls instead.
There also performances on the stage and watched it under the blazing heat pf the sun ☀️
After watching a couple of shows, we head to Ikebukuro to find some clothes but first stopped by a cafe to rest for a bit and quench our thirst.
After our rest we went to H&M as they have larger sizes that would fit us lol. I was able to find some shorts I can wear for this summer and bought a few. It took us a while because of the long queues in the fitting room.
After we were done, we decided to go get early dinner and head to a western steakhouse. We had a full plate of ribs and chicken wings, paired it with unlimited-refill drinks. Mind you I had about 5 large drinks in total yesterday because it was so hot outside I needed to hydrate myself 😥. We were so full but still managed to finish up our food.
I went home full and tired yesterday.
