Hello, Actifitters!
It's been a long while since my last post here... hopefully the subsiding heat here in the desert will get me going out more. And that, I will still have enough energy to get a report post done. 🤭
After all, Actifit reports sustained my daily blogging before (still quality content, I want to think). Hope to get that activity back again for my health's sake.
Early Evening Walk
I was just finishing cooking dinner when the hubs called to ask what I was doing.
"Nothing," I said. "Just making myself grow bigger."
"Come out for a walk," he then replied. As of he really thinks I was just not doing anything at home. 🙄
"I am walking back home. Meet me along the way," he continued.
Great thing, I was already in my athletic wear (I was really planning for an evening walk) and I just had to slip on my running shoes then I was out in less than 5 minutes.
Honestly, I'm so happy I got out. The weather was perfect, and the sun was just about to set.
I could see the golden glow of the sunset just behind the buildings and the Defense Bridge in front of me.
The Defense Bridge is also beautifully lit up-- the colors of the lights changing every few minutes.
I've been wanting to get some pictures of these grafitti art beneath the bridge. Maybe I already took photos of this before, I cannot remember. But this one is from earlier tonight.
The temperature has definitely gone much compared to a few weeks ago. It's perfect for brisk walks, or just a casual, leisurely walk after a whole day at work.
There were also bikers and those in electric scooters who sped by.
The pedestrian light changes quite fast at this intersection. I got held up due to a few others who were in front of me. I missed the green light, but I got a chance to take a quick snap of this oncoming traffic from the other side of the city-- the iconic Gate Towers at the Al Reem Island in sight.
As I crossed the road, the husband was already there. I wise I could have been earlier and faster so I would have met him further down and I had a longer walk. I turned around and walked back home with him.
It was a brief 30 minutes walk, but definitely something that lifted my mood... I hope to have these walks more regularly henceforth.
