I traveled well over seventeen (17) hours on delapilated Nigerian roads which experience really made me hissed. The ugly trend of the security system has also allowed unsavory bitterness in the minds of myraid road users. What seems to be the nation's pride has turned into palpable disgustion and shame. One could see security operative outrightly and over wittingly demand for bribes from drivers and commuters as well. I pondered a great while why such levity should be given to country's security, that instead of protecting lives and property, money becomes a bane of responsibility in their consciousness.
It quickly done on me what John the Baptist echoed "a voice crying in the wilderness, make the crooked path straight, rough ways, smooth, the valleys be filled and the mountains be brought low". I wonder how long it will take our roads of moral decay and discipline negligence to be fixed. I hissed because people take pride in willful arrogance and advantages simply for the fact that they posses the gun and power. That's power arrogance.
But glory to God who has given me confidence in Him and made me an ambassador to reconcile the world. And my way of interceding for the nation is to disciple people to posses godly virtues by immulating Christ's exemplary character. My prayers are always before God for people to change and come to Him in worship and obedience in service.
