I was so close. SO close. Just half the day, then drop off the little one with her mom, and I'd be able to rest. But after weeks being surrounded by virus and bacteria, it finally caught up with me.
So here I am, lying in bed. I did manage it all. The little one is with her mom, and I'm eating the remainder of our lunch. I rested all afternoon.
In the beginning, I thought it was just tiredness. The little one had kept me awake at night, or woken me, several times. I was really, really tired. And drinking the coffee was weird. Something in the stomach I couldn't shake.
So, my theory is that I ate something that upset my intestine, which then lead to a drop in my immune system. Not cool. I did go to the gym anyway, did my hour of leg training. Meaning, when my legs started to hurt I thought that was why.
Turns out it wasn't. Since my apartment got cleaned, there was no resting there, so I went to the bakery. We had three issues to discuss. Two problems brought to us by outsiders. One by ourselves. The latter we got solved, so one of the others. One is ongoing. Humans. Lovely creatures. Sigh.
Sometimes they're working together. The humans I mean. Like in this construction. But there's always one or two out for trouble.
I'm good for tonight. Ibuprofen on the nightstand. Eaten enough. Water, lots of it. I should survive.
Somewhat incredible that I still made 9k steps.
