I was in that London yesterday, having lunch at Wolseley Hall, another posh place with proper napkins and nice cutlery. I didn't take any pictures, I was too busy ogling and scoffing.
I had Creme du Barry Soup with blue cheese gougeres, pan-fried sea bream with crushed new potatoes and spinach, and lemon and elderflower sorbet with a chocolate tullerie (or similar, like a thin crisp sliver of chocolate).
We had a meeting in our offices beforehand, and I had a chance to catch up with one of my team before we set off into the beautiful sunny day.
After lunch we went for a walk and a sit down in Green Park and I ran to the kiosk to get a cup of tea and some iced coffee. It's right next to Buckingham Palace and at one stage a helicopter was overhead taking one Royal or another to somewhere or another.
Back at St Pancras International there was a signal failure, lots of delayed and cancelled trains. I managed to get on a slow train to Nottingham and find a seat, so I wasn't home too late in the end.
