While doing some fitness activity early today, I saw a waxing gibbous moon. It's a phase of the moon where more than half of the moon is illuminated, but it's not a full moon. This (waxing gibbous moon) appears after the first quarter but before the appearance of the full moon. The illuminated part of the moon keeps increasing "waxing" till it becomes a full moon
