A struggle to get moving. Not sure why. Low cloud did burn away to clear blue sky day. Pushed to go for a bike ride down to Apple Tree Bay. Wanted to check on progess of variegated hyacinth orchid buds I saw last week.
A form caught my eye on a cluster of flower spikes. Cicada shell hanging onto a budding orchid.

I had spied a variegated hyacinth orchid on the way down - not quite flowering
Found one fully in flower further up the hill
