Was a bad night churning the close contact SMS from NSW Health. I did sleep but the waking time was churning what its. Rules are I had to go for a test and into self-isolation. My wife has to test too.
We went separately. I parked well away from the hospital to get some steps in on a lovely day. No queues - test is not as bad as people say. Now for the wait. I have to isolate for 2 weeks. She does not have to if we both are negative - that said she cannot go anywhere other than for essential stuff and exercise.
Spent a lot of the day being entertained by the birds - kookaburras and a young magpie
Day got a whole lot worse with a missed phone call and an urgent message from NSW Health. We will call back. Stand by your phone. My head is saying it must be a positive test - the protocol is they call positives and text negatives. My mind was whirling bad.
Spent a lot of the afternoon trying to get an old TV working in sunroom so I can watch Olympics from there in isolation. Not much worked - TV did. Set top box did. No free to air TV.
Somehow I managed steps - did some weeding to get out in the open.
Dinner: my wife cooked beef massaman curry. Nice. Gave me space and we did do the isolation thing.
Was a late night sending out IM emails and just staying up to pass time away. Even read a book.
