A slow start to a blue sky day. We are heading home today. Set out for a low key ride time do a few hills.
Rode the reverse direction of yesterday ride minus a shortcut to join the start. Great views to the Southern Highlands
Not patient enough to catch a bee - they were buzzing
Found a road that leads to a reserve fire trail up Coolangatta Mountain - walked it - steep and slippery in parts. No orchids
Not a lot of native vegetation either - did like the pink pea flower
A fair amount of nightshade - guessing it is a native
Glimpses of the Shoalhaven River
A few of these pink flowers - delicate like an oxalis but not an oxalis
Did get some views from the top - Seven Mile Beach - too bad it is so overgrown up there
Glad I walked it but not again - no sign of any orchids
Next photo from Back Forest Road back to the mountain I just walked
It all looks harmless - 400 metres high and accessible by bike from 200 metres up. Overgrown makes it hard
Good hilly ride with a challenging walk in the middle.
Packed the car up for the drive home. My wife did a great job driving - trip was 2 hours shorter than the drive down.
Dinner: I did BBQ for me. My wife did mince on toast. Tired
