A weird weather day and a slow start while my wife went off to aquarobics class. Plan is to head back home at the end of the workday. Gave me the chance to drive to Bomaderry Creek to look for orchids
A few patersonia iris flowering
Rapidly becoming a purple day - purple fan flower
Fringe lily continues the theme
Slender rice flower
Geebung flower with attendant bug - maybe Pine-leaf Geebung - leaf smaller than I have seen
Close up of the bug - a small rose beetle
Not walked this side track before - lovely stand of scribbly gums
Joined the powerlines higher than I have walked before
Not seen these before - maybe hypoxis
The dipodium punctatum has produced only one seed pod from a head of 10 flowers
Bomaderry Creek
New spot for cryptostylis erecta - spied the leaves - look for the spike
Flowers have just finished
Loofah grevillea - my name
Did find one orchid flowering - large tongue orchid - cryptostylis subulata
The mission was exploring a track to understand the seasons. Was good to explore a few new segments though they may not yield orchids. Walk and learn
Did the shopping. Filled up the car. Strimmed the front lawn as we may be 3 weeks away
Drive home was the quickest we have done - 2 hours 20.
Dinner: BBQ before the rain came
