Been working on promoting a product that creates scrolling videos from any web page. Too bad it will not work on the sales page they sell it from or from the ones they demo. Easy for an IT geek to go down the rabbit hole. Did find the problem but could not find a solution. Beat send a message to the makers and find something else to do. Catch a train
Stunning blue sky day and a little cooler on the water. View to Crown Casino - decided to walk back around toward The Rocks and then over the harbour bridge
View across to passenger terminal at White Bay - not seen two ships tied up there
A few of the old wharf buildings. It is hard to visualise this as the way it was. The ground I am on has been reclaimed from the harbour
Landscape shot across to White Bay and Anzac Bridge behind
Hiding in the corner is this new construction work - they are building an underground cut through with an arty feel
Will come back to see it open
Rather than walk around the water took the steps up into the park above - a bit of a rainforest feel
Little skink sticking its head out between the rocks. It was not fussed about me and just soaking in the warmth
The park above is quiet with views across to the city. The big Salesforce building on Circular Quay built since I arrived in 2000
View across to Berry Island
The park has a few sculptures of different sea forms
A few of the old cottages - suburb is called Millers Point - been tidied up a bit
These apartments were built around the time of the Spanish Flu - a few storeys tall. Half have gone. The kids played in the park and up and down the narrow streets in and among the warehouses and wharves
Views open out to the North Sydney side of the harbour
View across the top of the Finger Wharves to the Harbour Bridge
Fab spot for apartments now. Hard to imagine what it was like when it was wharf land
The new and the old. The old rankings and the new skyscraper
Old and old. Very noticeable is every porch had nothing on them. Guessing people nick stuff when they walk by
Pallisades Hotel with Crown Casino behind
Got to say I was tempted to stop for a beer and to eat my sandwich (yep. Did bring one along). Chose not to as the plan was to walk the bridge. No loos halfway
Did check out the new cycleway access over the bridge. This is the old access - walk the steps and run the bike along the ramp
The new ramp - can ride up now. There was an officious security man making sure no pedestrians. All I wanted to do was take photos. I hate jobsworth people
For completeness - the cycleway signs
Walked under the pedestrian subway - no bikes allowed to access the bridge walkway - first shot of the front pylon
Ferry action in front of the Opera House
One of the old sailing ships coming in to tie up
Across the bridge and a closer up view of North Sydney - walk nearly done. Always good to be a tourist in my home town. Sydney is a pretty special home town and it is great to be able to use public transport as a pensioner cheaply
Stopped in shops on the way home from the station. Cooked two dinners - one for today and one for tomorrow.
Stayed up late to write an investing blog to help a friend - finding opportunities in gold and silver. Read it here https://mclnks.com/tibgold
