Walking in the Rain.

It's Wednesday! Time for a Wednesday Walk!
I made the effort to make it as timely as I could. A walk welcome distraction in the middle of a dull week. I'm going for a walk whether it rains or shines. That was my form of self-motivation last night.
The sound of heavy downpours awakened me. However, I'm still keen to leave either way. I check the children, then take my phone and umbrella and walk out the door.
My initial plan last night was to head to the beach. But since the weather didn't cooperate, I head to the nearest church patio. I'm glad I picked that route. The greens are flourishing because of the rain.
Along the edge of the patio, there is a circular path. It's just ideal not to step on the grass or get my feet muddy.
I shot a ton of pictures, but the most of them are blurry because I was holding my phone and my umbrella in both hands. Plus, it's difficult to hold with my trembling hands.
In the middle of my walk, I spotted this man cutting the grass. I felt ashamed that the drizzle bothered me while he kept doing his job despite the bad weather. I gently folded my umbrella and rain check, literally.
Salute to the diligent man in the picture above. I sincerely hope the rain won't cause you to become ill.
After split seconds, I decided to use my umbrella again because my phone would get wet and I couldn't take more photos if my phone was all drenched in rainwater.
As I was approaching the main entrance of the church, I was also reminiscing about my past. This church is where I got baptized and got married. A big part of my life. It didn't change much. It still looks the same as I remember it to be.
The clouds begin to get darker as I approach the walkway's center, and thunder and lightning accompany them. I moved quickly to get home because I was afraid of the lightning.
My feet were smeared in mud from walking past, so as soon as I got home, I scrubbed them. I was wearing slippers!

That walk earlier gave me a new Fitbit badge! Yay! What a consolation on that rainy walk! Well, I did enjoy it!
