I'm sitting in a new house, with new pets, but is nowhere to be seen.
That's because he dropped me here 8 hours ago and went back to finish the last night in the previous housesit. With the barky dig. Who I sure as hell hope sleeps through the night tonight.
We had an overlap with our housesits. I think it's going to work okay, but it's not my preference. Not because it's terrible to be apart for a single night occasionally, but rather because it was a hassle.
Lessons. Every housesit brings us lessons.
The last one had a lot. Hopefully, this one will have much gentler lessons.
To make life easy for me tonight, here, without a car, and the nearest shops a fair hike, Brad suggested I order dinner through Uber Eats.
This is some we rarely do as it's definitely not the cheapest way to get a meal. But I'm glad he thought of it as it certainly made my first night here easier.
Thankfully, between McDonald's (yuck) and KFC (double yuck) I spotted Guzman Y Gomez (one of my faves). So, with a glass of red in my hand, I ordered a meal with brown rice, some meat and some veggies.
And my beloved avo.
It was great.
And now... Now it's time to send everyone to bed. Including me.
Night!
