Today, we were headed out to explore, bushwalk, and check out some rockpools and beaches in the local area here at Merimbula.
But first, Brad had the idea that we should go and get a wearable towel (also known as a hooded towel). So we went to a few shops, and even checked Vinnies (a well known op shop chain) to see if there were any second hand ones.
While there were a pile of kids ones, they were all out of adult ones. So I headed for the front door, walking past the wall of books.
Since I've barely looked at the couple of books I brought on this long road trip AND I have an entire bookshelf full of unread books at home, I had no plan to buy any.
But then, out of the corner of my eye I spotted this book.
It wasn't lined up on the shelf neatly like all the others; if it had been, I wouldn't have seen it.
Instead, it was laying on top on one other book, facing up AND facing towards me as I walked out, making it easy to recognise, in my peripheral vision as I walked past.
This is a book I've been hearing about for years, that my colleagues in the healing industry have read and my mentors reference and whose author has been endlessly interviewed.
Since I have a limited budget for more educational resources (because I have already bought so many in the last few years) AND so many unread books, I hadn't even thought to look in an online or offline bookstore and buy it new.
But when it was basically TALKING to me this morning, I bought it on the spot.
Happy? You bet.
