Greetings and a big hug to the Hive Community and especially to the Community. My day was very busy, since I had to take my son to the dentist due to a discomfort that he had been experiencing for days and that due to Christmas vacations of the doctor who treats him had to be postponed until today.
His last appointment was 6 months ago, where the doctor saw a small spot on his tooth; however, she suggested that we wait to see if it would move, because it is a baby tooth. At that time she only cleaned it and recommended that he brush his teeth three times a day.
On this occasion, when examining his teeth, he noticed that the tooth had minimal cavities, which was the cause of the discomfort my son was having. He gave me three options:
1-Extract it
2-Fix it
3-Clean it and wait for it to fall out in approximately 6 months
I decided to have it fixed and thus end the discomfort he was having. I prefer it to fall out in due time. It won't be long now, but it's better to wait for that natural process.
I took the opportunity to take photos of my son while we were waiting for our turn at the doctor's office. It was decorated very nicely, with Christmas themes, a very pleasant environment to welcome children and make them feel at ease. I took many photos and my son was very happy to see all those decorations.
Once we left, we waited two hours so he could eat something, we took advantage of walking around the center of Valencia doing some shopping, when the time indicated by the doctor passed, I bought him something to eat and we came home before nightfall. He was happy because he no longer felt pain in his tooth and had spent a different day and I was satisfied to be able to have the satisfaction of being able to take him to his private practice.
Having good oral health is of utmost importance for both children and adults. Prevention is extremely necessary. I have always thought that taking care of your children's oral health is more than a responsibility, it is an act of love towards them. An act of love that they will thank you for over time.
Thank you for reading and see you in a next post.
