“De la Expectativa a la Sonrisa: La Historia Detrás de Nuestra MERU Card”
🚀 Un nuevo año, un nuevo capítulo
Iniciar un nuevo año siempre trae consigo expectativas, metas renovadas y sueños más grandes. Hoy damos la bienvenida al 2026 con nuestro primer post del año, luego de un 2025 lleno de aprendizajes, constancia y comunidad.
Antes que nada, gracias 🙏 a cada lector que estuvo pendiente de nuestros contenidos, que comentó, apoyó y caminó junto a nosotros durante el año pasado. Este post no solo marca un inicio, también marca una buena noticia que queríamos compartir desde hace tiempo.
💳 Jueves 3 Julio 2025: Todo comenzó con un lanzamiento
Para ponerlos en contexto, en Julio de 2025 asistimos al evento de lanzamiento de la MERU Card. Allí solicitamos nuestra tarjeta, aprovechando el beneficio de obtenerla sin costo, algo que sin duda nos motivó.
Según lo previsto, la tarjeta debía llegar entre Octubre e inicios de Noviembre, pero como muchas veces pasa en proyectos nuevos, los tiempos se extendieron más de lo esperado.
⏳ La espera, los intentos y la paciencia
Cuando supimos que MERU ya contaba con una oficina en Santa Cruz de la Sierra, nos enteramos también de que algunas personas ya estaban recibiendo sus tarjetas… pero la nuestra aún no aparecía. Decidimos solicitarla nuevamente, y esta vez sí recibimos un correo que nos alegró el día: la tarjeta ya estaba en el país. El mensaje llegó el miércoles 31 de Diciembre, justo para cerrar el año con esperanza.
📍 Equipetrol, Santa Cruz: el día esperado
Hicimos planes para recogerla el Viernes 2 de Enero, pero al llegar a la oficina en Equipetrol, nos encontramos con que estaba cerrada por feriado nacional. Tocó esperar un poco más.
Finalmente, el Lunes temprano, antes del mediodía, llegamos nuevamente… y esta vez sí.
😄 “Excelente, la espera valió la pena”
La atención fue amable desde el inicio. Nos solicitaron algunos documentos y, de pronto, apareció un sobre blanco con nuestro nombre y dirección.
La joven que nos atendió nos dijo: “¿Puedes abrirlo mientras te grabo para ver tu reacción?”
No lo pensé dos veces. Abrí el sobre y lo primero que dije fue:
Me parece Excelente que la espera valga la pena.”
Sonrisas, fotos, video del momento y un recuerdo que quedará para siempre.
🍽️ Activación, feijoada y celebración
Aprovechamos el momento para activar la tarjeta y comenzar a usarla. Mientras esperábamos que esté operativa (alrededor de las 3:00 PM), salimos a almorzar… y sí, una feijoada fue parte de la celebración, acompañada de una foto con la MERU Card como símbolo de logro.

🚀 A new year, a new chapter
Starting a new year always brings with it expectations, renewed goals, and bigger dreams. Today we welcome 2026 with our first post of the year, after a 2025 full of learning, perseverance, and community.
First of all, thank you 🙏 to every reader who followed our content, commented, supported, and walked alongside us during the past year. This post not only marks a beginning, but also good news that we have wanted to share for a long time.
💳 Thursday, July 3, 2025: It all started with a launch
To put it in context, in July 2025 we attended the MERU Card launch event. There, we applied for our card, taking advantage of the benefit of obtaining it at no cost, which certainly motivated us.
As planned, the card was supposed to arrive between October and early November, but as often happens with new projects, the timeline was extended longer than expected.
⏳ Waiting, trying, and patience
When we found out that MERU already had an office in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, we also learned that some people were already receiving their cards... but ours still hadn't arrived. We decided to request it again, and this time we received an email that made our day: the card was already in the country. The message arrived on Wednesday, December 31st, just in time to end the year on a hopeful note.
📍 Equipetrol, Santa Cruz: the long-awaited day
We made plans to pick it up on Friday, January 2, but when we arrived at the Equipetrol office, we found that it was closed for a national holiday. We had to wait a little longer.
Finally, early Monday, before noon, we arrived again... and this time we got it.
😄 “Excellent, it was worth the wait.”
The service was friendly from the start. They asked us for some documents, and suddenly a white envelope with our name and address appeared.
The young woman who attended to us said, “Can you open it while I record you to see your reaction?”
I didn't think twice. I opened the envelope and the first thing I said was:
I think it's great that the wait is worth it.
Smiles, photos, a video of the moment, and a memory that will last forever.
🍽️ Activation, feijoada, and celebration
We took advantage of the moment to activate the card and start using it. While we waited for it to become operational (around 3:00 PM), we went out for lunch... and yes, a feijoada was part of the celebration, accompanied by a photo with the MERU Card as a symbol of achievement.
