What a lovely sunny day today ☀️.
Very cold but a pleasure to be out for a walk.
We visited Tilgate Nature Center today with our granddaughter. A local nature center close to Crawley town within Tilgate Park.
The nature center has a small collection of animals, including meerkats, alpacas, various birds, small reptiles, and mammals.
I used to visit this centre years ago with my own children, but today with one of my grandchildren! Some things have changed such as the entrance, which is now accessed via the Walled Gardens.
There are a few sculptures of animals, these have been relocated since my last visit but it was nice to see them again.
We had refreshments in their cafe which was very comforting after a cold walk! I recommend a visit to anyone with children.
There is a gift shop with all the usual stuff 😃.
Not my cup of tea but I'm sure many would be intrigued by the soft toys etc. 🥺
Later we walked the short distance to the main lake in Tilgate Park. Our granddaughter wanted to see some swans which are always a feature of this place.
Not to be disappointed, we came across a solitary swan looking for something to eat.
