Today is day 19 of my #seven77 regimen. I took the day off from work, but I wasn't relaxing in the slightest. I had a hella busy day! I took my wife's car out for an oil change to start the day. After bringing that car back home, I grabbed my car and went to Costco for a supply run. After that, I had lunch, packed up my things and went to the DoubleTree in Bloomington, MN, to help set up for 2D Con. I had to move some 50 lb CRT TVs today. They weren't necessarily heavy, but they were very unwieldy and annoying to deal with.
After setting up, I had some time to socialize. I bumped into Carlos Ferro, the voice of Dom from Gears of War. He's one of the guests of honor and a really great guy. I got to chat with his assistant about Marvel vs Capcom 2, one of the tournaments I'll be running this weekend. So that was fun!
While wandering around, I found the Initial D Zero cabinet in the hallway and played a couple rounds of story mode. After that, I wandered into the rhythm gaming room and found a really cool old school guy playing some of the classics on the DDR A20 machine. So we did a versus round together. Started with Break Down!, and I missed getting the score at the end of that one. But after we finished Bad Apple, I was able to record my score for that.
After that, I decided I was thoroughly exhausted and needed to go home. I took a hot shower, grabbed a child glass of milk, and I am ready to pass out before tomorrow.
