My Actifit Report Card for Sunday, May 11, 2025 What a day! Today was packed with interesting experiences, easily earning me my 10,000 Actifit steps. My Sunday started with a wonderful service at church. I always enjoy being an usher, which involves quite a bit of walking around. The sermon today was about the mandate to preach the gospel of Christ's love and salvation to all nations. It was truly inspiring.
After the service, my walk home was quite an experience! The road was blocked due to the Kilajolu festival. While I couldn't get any pictures (didn't want to risk those long canes!), it was definitely a lively atmosphere.
Once I got home, I helped out with a lot of housework and cooking. Later in the day, we had a bit of excitement when a group of powerbikes showed up outside our house. It looked like some kind of gathering, though not a race, as the main roads were quite busy due to the festival. I also had the chance to visit a church member's small farm, where he's growing cassava and corn – it was nice to see.
The most surprising part of the day was seeing the famous actor Femi Adebayo filming a scene near my area! It looked like he was taking advantage of the festival crowds for a backdrop. The acting was epic, though I couldn't get close enough for a clear photo with my phone.
Now, I'm quite tired after such a full day, but the music from the neighborhood is still going strong and doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon!
