1942 random black & white life shots. Having any kind of motorized vehicle was a very good reason to have some photos taken.
Even today, many mountain roads are not that great but imagine how bad they were back then, combined with bad weather, and yet the people in the photos are still smiling.
In exchange the roads in the city of Targu Mures/Romania were already paved, even today we can find some roads with this type of pavement, and driving on them is hell, well even walking is and you have to watch your every step carefully.
Times were not that great in 1942, but people still found time to have some fun.
And the town square looks clean and in good order.
