Another quiet week for activity. So much so, that I didn't have much to post about during the week and got out of my rhythm of posting every morning. I didn't have much luck crossing the 5K threshold for the extra bonus award. Again, I'm hoping that integrating the fitbit will not only allow me to more accurately track my steps, but also help me stay in a better habit of working out more regularly.
Early Thursday morning, November 30, I received the news that my last living grandparent, my father's mother, had finally passed. She was a 97-year-old Holocaust survivor. She came to New York City, learned a new language, and met her forever husband. She raised four successful sons. She led a full and vibrant life, filled with charity and philanthropy. She outlived her husband by 20 years and was able to see her family grow to include 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
I am thankful that me and my other three siblings all got to spend time with her last week over Thanksgiving. It was special having that time with her altogether one last time. Love you, Saftah! Your memory will be a blessing to your family and friends for this life and all lives to come. 😘
