After a few lazy days in my apartment, I finally went out and got active with a nice commute to LaGuardia Airport via public transport. Because it is New York City's oldest airport, the infrastructure to get there sucks. Even though I live relatively close to the airport in Brooklyn (15 minute car ride), I have to take the subway through Manhattan to get to the Queens shuttle bus to get to the airport (80 minute commute).
I got my packing and cleaning done with time to spare, and even got to enjoy the Chelsea match since we got back to winning ways with a late goal to take all three points! Here's a picture of some graffiti on my local subway stop.
LaGuardia Airport has been getting a much needed makeover for the past 5 years. In addition to much needed functional changes, there was a lot of new art added as well as an amazing water feature that rains down water to light and music.
What caught my eye was the huge wall of tile design in Terminal 2. Check out this cool picture of an ice cream truck:
Another modern marvel is how the seamlessly lined the walk from security to the gates through a winding path of retail shopping. It is inescapable!
Plane took off with no issues and the flight was 30 minutes early landing in Denver! Hurray! That meant I had plenty of time to catch the air train and last bus of the night back to my sister's place. Here's one last picture from Denver International Airport. Catch yall tomorrow. Cheers!
