There's always something special in the air of Halloween week, and the fabulous low 70s weather here in Brooklyn had people feeling especially good. The local bodega even got in the spirit with this fun picture of the characters from Coco on the inside of its front window.
Only days away from the end of the first trimester and a 4-day weekend, teachers and students alike were pressing through to get to the finish line. I had to make a few extra trips downstairs during the day, so it didn't hurt my 16K total to do another 40 flights.
It also helped my step count when Moon Lvnding got invited to a private boiler room set by Prospa on Wednesday night at an intimate basement club about a 20-minute walk from our apartment. The event ran from 9pm to 2am, so naturally, we got there right around 11.30pm for the 2nd half of Prospa's set. It also gave me the opportunity to walk along some streets I don't normally see, so of course, I had to take a few more street art pics!
The venue had a no cellphone rule in place, which is always fun because people are more in tune with the music and more people are dancing! It was so unseasonably hot outside, even opening up the side doors with the fans going didn't do much to cool down the club enough.
But it wasn't bad enough to drive me away before midnight. Prospa was grooving hard, and the vibes were on point, so I'll finish up the story manana. Until next time...
