Well, Chelsea Football Club was about the only thing that could have gotten me out of bed Saturday morning. I was tired from the holiday party the night before and my throat was a bit hoarse. Plus the Arctic cold snap was still slamming NYC with below average temps.
But after the poor midweek performance against Leeds, I felt like I needed to reunite with my NYBlues group to cheer on the lads. We had another rough road matchup down at Bournemouth. I made the 40 minute trek to Manhattan in good time and got there 30 minutes early to pound their full Irish breakfast!
Once again, Chelsea disappointed a bit, but that is to be expected when we are missing our best player, the young defensive midfield prodigy Moises Caideco. Without Moi, Chelsea was looking quite average and unable to get much going in transition. When the 90 minutes finished, neither club had scored a goal; nil nil honors even. It could have been worse.
When I got home, it was nothing but lazy hanging around the apartment. I did some cleaning, I did some cooking, but most of all, I just did not much of anything. It was a very relaxing day watching the tube with my partner, cozy in bed and enjoying each other's company. Everything I needed to get ready for the winter ahead of us. Until next time...
