And not just any holiday, but March 8, International Women's Day.
To all Hive ladies, have a great day!
We took advantage of a nice, sunny day for a short walk (which proves that these are just over 6,000 steps), because we have obligations in the afternoon.
For today, I got tickets for a concert, to which I am taking my ladies, who love this singer of ours, a former winner of the Eurovision Song Contest.
I love her too, so I used the excuse of a female holiday to bring them out.
If you have a good time, I believe I will share a video clip or a photo with you in a future post.
I knew that today is Women's Day, because I bought the tickets for this concert a few days ago, but it wasn't until I was walking to the nearby park (a miniature forest, which now, without leaves, doesn't even resemble a forest), that a lot of street flower sellers reminded me of this day.
While we were sitting on a bench in the park, we commented on several men and women carrying flowers in their hands.
Men with a hurried step, to hand it over, and women with a relaxed step, because they received their flower.
And then we mentioned what is reality.
So should we wait for the eighth of March to buy flowers for women?
How delighted I am when on any other day, any day of the year (except today), I see a man on the street carrying a bouquet of flowers (or just one flower).
How glad I am to know that that flower or bouquet will soon make a girlfriend, wife or mother happy...
And then with a smile I think of all the flowers I gave my partner a month ago, three and seven 🙂
But, not today. I don't want anyone to watch her walking down the street with her March 8th flower, which she got today, because that someone can think about her what I think about someone else - she got a flower today, and the question is whether she will get another one by next March 8th...
Today I treated her with a walk, holding her hand and tonight, I hope, with a nice concert. And with respect and love, throughout the year.
