Today I planned to go on a shopping trip to stores I don't visit regularly. At the last moment before heading out I realized it was a national holiday. And this might be a typical shopping holiday, but I don't like that.
Instead I worked at home and only went to the supermarket. Both local supermarkets have recently been remodeled. The cheaper one, Hoogvliet, came out much better than the more upmarket Albert Heijn. Hoogvliet has wide aisles everywhere now, while AH added a low-ceiling area which makes it feel cramped. I love this result. I want to see upper middle class people admit that their favorite brand sucks.
