Today being Wednesday is usually my Monday. Today was no exception however with one huge difference - we were not open to the public. Our lockdown has begun, however I am able to go to work to deal with the billing and odds and ends that come up. Folks can still order contact lenses over the phone and deliveries are still coming. I’ve devised a method of ‘drive by’ pickup. We set an appointed time; they come and I stick their order out the door. It’s working well. They get their much needed eyewear and we basically have no contact. Everybody wins!😁
We have cancelled all appointments for 3 weeks hoping that’s enough time for this to have progressed enough to re-open for exams. Only time will tell. My boss told me he’s fine with me just providing phone support to patients even if I have nothing left to do. That is awesome that he’s willing to keep me working even though we aren’t open
When I got home, we went for a hike. Actifit-Lamb was so excited! She wanted to sit on the ‘strange looking man’s’ lap - here is her picture of the day.
We went to Towhee Ridge as that was all the daylight we had. Coming back down, this sunset picture greeted us.
It was a good day.
