Started a multi day road trip with a long drive in perfect weather. Enjoyed a nice breakfast in Oamaru and then went up north towards Canterbury. Came across some beautiful views near the Rakaia Gorge:
Had a wee stop in Sheffield for a nice pie and then started the climb over the Southern Alps via Arthur's Pass. A wonderful drive with, again, beautiful scenery:
On the other side of the mountains, the weather was still great and, since we had some time left, we went to visit the Hokitika Gorge. Once again a beautiful spot...
Finished the day with a nice sunset, which made the day memorable!
