After three nights in the Nürnberg region, I left for a new area. Didn't book something in advance, but decided to go to Ansbach first and then see what felt like. Ansbach is a historical city that used to be the seat of the count of Ansbach-Brandenburg. The former residence is still there, as well as the Hofgarten (park). Here are some pictures:

While having a coffee, I checked whether I could find any good hotel deals. Didn't really find one, so decided to go to a relatively affordable guesthouse in the touristic city of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. And touristic it is! Many people from all over the world. Reason for this mass tourism is the fact that the city is totally kept in the original state (I mean rebuilt...) and is very picturesque with a nice view over the Tauber valley. Went out for an Italian dinner (Lasagne!) and finished the day with a short after dinner walk.
