The day
Yesterday was one of those in‑between days: not a big training day, but I still managed to stay on my feet and keep moving. Most of the steps came from ordinary life — walking around the house, short errands, and a few intentional "get out of the chair" breaks when I felt I had been sitting for too long. Nothing heroic, just choosing to walk a little more instead of taking the easy option each time.
The run
Somewhere in the middle of the day I also squeezed in a short 4 km run — nothing fast, just an easy pace to wake up the legs and the lungs. Even a relatively brief run like that adds a nice cardio boost on top of the regular walking and is more than enough to remind the body how good it feels to move with a bit more intensity. I finished the run feeling better than when I started, which is always the best sign that the effort was exactly right for the day.
The bigger picture
I like days like this because they remind me that consistency does not always look spectacular. It is often just a string of small decisions that add up by the evening. With a mix of almost 10k steps and a short run, I am already in a zone where daily movement is doing its work quietly in the background for long‑term health. My plan is to keep this as a baseline and then sprinkle in more focused or longer runs on the days when time and energy allow.
